Diwali Trading: Market touches 21,000 level

Mumbai, Nov 5: During the special Diwali trading session on Friday, Nov 5, BSE Sensex has crossed all-time high (from Jan, 2010) 21,000 level.

During the trade Nifty surged 6,300 level at the onset of the special 45-minute Muhurat trading session, to mark the begging of the Samavat Year 2067.

At 18:44 hrs, BSE Sensex was 21004.96 up 111.39 points and NSE Nifty was 6312.45 up 30.65 points.

The top gainers were Jaiprakash Asso up 4.32 percent, Hindalco up 2.65 percent, Mah and Mah up 1.72 percent and SBI up 1.65 percent.

The top losers were Jindal Steel down 0.42 percent, Reliance Com down 0.27 percent, HDFC down 0.21 percent and Reliance Power down 0.18 percent.
