Singapore: Airbus A-380 makes emergency landing
Jakarta, Nov 4: World's largest passenger plane, Airbus A-380 carrying 459 people, made an emergency landing safely in Singapore's Changi airport on Thursday, Nov 4.
Following an engine trouble shortly after it had left the island state, the plane was forced to shut down an engine and return to to Singapore, a Qantas Airways official stated.
Though, witnesses on the western Indonesian island of Batam reported hearing a large blast and seeing pieces of debris from the plane, the airline official stated that they had not received any reports of an explosion on board.
"I heard a big explosion at around 9:15 am and saw a commercial passenger plane flying low in the distance with smoke on one of its wings," stated an eyewitness.
