President Patil, Vice President Ansari greet nation on Deepawali

New Delhi, Nov.4 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil and Vice President Hamid Ansari have greeted the nation on the occasion of 'Diwali'.

"Diwali, the festival of lights is celebration of the victory of good over evil. She said this festival brings happiness and prosperity to all people and illuminate their lives with lights of hope for a better tomorrow," said the President in her message today.

However, in his message, Vice President Ansari said: "The festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and truth over untruth."

"The noble ideals of the festival prevail and usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives," the Vice President's message further added.

Diwali will be celebrated across the country on Friday (Nov.4). (ANI)
