US: Obama admits mistakes, takes responsibility

On Wednesday, Nov 3 Obama admitted that he failed to change the nature of Washington politics during his first two years in office.
"Over the last two years we have made progress but clearly not too many Americans have felt that progress and they have told us that yesterday (Wednesday, Nov 3) and as President I take responsibility for that," Obama said.
"My core responsibility is to ensure that we got an economy that is growing. The middle class feels secure and that jobs are being created and so I think I have got to take direct responsibility for not making as much progress as we need to make," the US President added.
In the US mid-term polls, ended on Tuesday, Nov 2, the Republican Party bagged more than 60 seats in the House of Representatives to establish a comfortable 239-184 majority.
Now, Obama has to work closely with with the Republicans to pass the rest of his domestic legislative agenda.
