Chennai: MBA graduates detained as kidnappers

Chennai, Nov 3: Two MBA graduates were detained by the Chennai police over the alleged kidnapping case and the police also recovered Rs 1 crore ransom from them.

R Vijay and K Prabhu, who worked in abroad once, were arrested for the alleged kidnapping case of a 14-year-old school boy, Keerthi Vasan, son of a Chennai businessman Ramesh.

Police claimed that to trap the whole gang at a time, they left the kidnappers go while the accused were taking the ransom.

"We deliberately let the accused escape because we knew it would be easy to track them," stated the police commissioner.
