27 hospitalized after eating food at funeral

Shillong, Nov 3: Atleast 27 people including 8 children, in Meghalaya"s Jaintia Hills district were hospitalized for suspected food poisoning after they had food at a funeral gathering on Tuesday, Nov 2.

Sources said, people started vomiting after eating food at a funeral gathering and later they were admitted at a hospital in Jowai,

The Hospital sources said that the pork supplied in the funeral gathering was suspected to be infected and stale.
