ViewSonic unveils 10 & 7-inch Android tablets

New York, Nov 2: ViewSonic Corporation has announced the launch of two Android based 7-inch and 10-inch tablet computers.

ViewSonic, famous for its display monitors, unveiled it's new ViewPad 10 and ViewPad 7 tablet PCs. Both the tablets will run on Google Android OS and provide touch screens.

ViewPad 10 tablet is a dual-boot device with both Windows 7 Home Premium and Android 1.6. It is powered with 1.66GHz Intel Atom CPU and 1GB of memory. The 10-inch display provides 1024X600 resolution and LED-backlit.

ViewPad 10 has a 16GB of user-accessible flash storage and a MicroSD Card slot for memory expansion. It gives a a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It also gives 3G support, WiFi, Bluetooth, headphone and microphone sockets.

ViewPad 7 tablet will run on Android 2.2 powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen offers 800X480-pixel WVGA-resolution.

ViewPad 7 tablet has dual cameras, a 3 megapixel camera at rear and a VGA at front for video call facility. This 3G ready tablet also offers WiFi and Bluetooth. Memory can be expanded upto 32 GB.

Rates and availability of these tablets in India market are not yet available.
