Protesting Obama visit, Maoists call Bharat bandh

By Samyuktha

Kolkata, Nov 2: Protesting against US President Barack Obama's visit to India, the red rebels have called for a nationwide 24-hour bandh on Nov 8.

Speaking from an undisclosed location, Maoist leader Kishenji told a news agency, “The Maoist Central Committee will observe a 24-hour Bharat bandh on November 8."

Kishenji alleged that Obama's visit was part of the process of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi selling India to American Imperialism.

Dubbing the CPI(M)"s planned protests against Obama"s visit on the same date as a 'drama', the Left-wing extremist leader added, “Today"s CPI(M) and all other Communist parties in the country have turned into an integral part of the capitalist culture to exploit people."
