Dubai parcel bomb was flown in on two passenger planes
London, Nov 1 (ANI): One of the two bombs posted from Yemen last week was transported on two passenger planes before being seized in Dubai, it was revealed today.
The Daily Mail quoted Qatar Airways as saying that the bomb was carried on an Airbus A320 from Yemeni capital Sanaa to Doha where it was then transferred to another Qatar Airways plane to Dubai.
The news came after David Cameron said yesterday the ink-bomb found on a US-bound cargo plane in Britain was designed to explode in mid-air.
One of the suspects named is 22-year-old Hanan al-Samawi, who was held after police tracked the name and address used on the packages.
But after she was arrested, the shipping agent said she wasn't the one who signed the shipping documents.
She was released on bail as Yemeni authorities said they believed her identity had been stolen.
Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri, who tops a Saudi Arabian terrorism list, is the brother of a suicide bomber killed in an attempt to kill Saudi counter-terrorism chief Prince Mohammed bin Nayef last year. (ANI)
