According to the official sources, the suspect was arrested from Yemen's capital San'a, where she was hiding in a house. The suspect was traced from a phone number and she is a medical student.

"United States and the United Arab Emirates had provided information that helped to identify the suspect," said Yemen"s president, Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Al-Qaeda is suspected to be behind the bombs as similarities between the latest terror bid and the failed plot to blow up a US passenger jet on Christmas Day in 2009 were found.
