Facebook to launch smartphone on Nov 3?

California, Oct 31: Rumors about 'Facebook Phone' gained momentum once again after the world's most popular social networking website Facebook sent invitations for a mobile event scheduled for Nov 3, 2010.

The mobile event is at Facebook's headquarters in Palo Alto, California. Any how according to the Facebook's press invite there was no detailed agenda for the event.

Earlier media reported that Facebook is is working with mobile phone maker INQ Mobile Ltd to make two smartphones that may have a network tie up with AT&T Inc.

On Sep 19 Facebook's spokesman Jaime Schopflin rejected the report by saying that company is not building a phone.

It is expected that Facebook will unveil new features for Facebook Places and a new application for Apple iPad during the mobile event.
