Boyfriend arrested in model Rinky Choudhary case

Mumbai, Oct 31: Two days after model Rinki Chaudhry"s body was found at her flat, police arrested her boyfriend on Oct 30 and booked him for murder charge and also for giving false information regarding the death of Rinki.

"Rinki Chaudhry"s boyfriend, Sahil Malik was arrested on the basis of circumstantial evidence. He changed his statements frequently," D S Kamble, inspector at Goregaon Police station, said.

"Sahil was booked under IPC Sections 302, murder and 203, giving false information regarding an offence committed," he said.

Earlier, Rinky's mother and relatives accused Sahil Malik of killing model-cum-actress Rinky Choudhary.

Rinki Chaudhry on Oct 28 committed suicide by hanging herself at her flat in Mumbai. According to police, Rinki had gone to the kitchen while her boyfriend was sitting in the hall. "Since she did not return from the kitchen and was not responding, her boyfriend broke open the door and found her hanging," police said.
