Ahmedabad: Amita Shah leaves for Mumbai

Ahmedabad, Oct 31: Former Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah, who got bail in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, has left for Mumbai on Sunday, Oct 31 morning.

Amit Shah left for Mumbai following the Supreme Court directive asking him to be out of Gujarat till Nov 15. SC asked him to leave the state because the court is hearing the CBI's plea seeking cancellation of his bail.

On Saturday, Nov 30, CBI had appealed in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of his bail, which was granted by the Gujarat High Court on Friday. But the court refused to alter the High Court order and asked Amit Shah to stay out of the state till Nov 15.

Shah was arrested by the CBI on Jul 25 in connection with the murder of Sohrabuddin, an alleged gangster, in Nov 2005.
