Chidambaram to visit Kashmir for two days
New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will undertake a two-day visit of Jammu and Kashmir from today.
According to sources, Chidambaram will first visit the cloudburst-hit region of Leh to review the rehabilitation process.
He will also hold a meeting with local officials.
On Sunday, he will visit border areas in Kargil before going to Srinagar to meet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
He will also interact with state administration officials to assess the ground situation in Kashmir Valley.
Chidambaram's visit assumes significance in view of the just-concluded visit of three- interlocutors appointed by the Central Government. (ANI)
