UK police to track criminals from Facebook

Facebook
London, Oct 29: Sweeping changes have been made to train aspiring British detectives to track down murderers and other criminals on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.

Sources said this new step will help criminals to reveal valuable clues and authentic information.

Updated training exercises also examine how to gather the best information from computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices, reports the Telegraph.

Deputy Chief Constable Nick Gargan, acting head of the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA), said, "This programme is a vital part of the career pathway for detectives and the new training covers sensitive areas of policing where limited guidance existed previously."
