HTC unveils dual-mode smartphone T9199 in China

Beijing, Oct 29: Taiwan based handset manufacturer, HTC has announced the launch of a new smartphone HTC T9199 in China.

HTC and China Telecom have rolled out the HTC T9199, which is a dual-mode Windows Mobile smartphone. It has a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash.

HTC T9199 is a dual mode smartphone that supports both GSM and CDMA EV-DO Rev. It runs on Window 6.5 OS and powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8650 processor, 576 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM.

Other features include HTC Sense UI, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, WiFi, WAPI, and 3.5mm audio jack. It also offers FM radio, Music player, Video player and micro SD slot for memory expansion.

"HTC will continue to work with China Telecom and close partners like Microsoft and Qualcomm, to create innovative smartphones which enhance the mobile experience for China smartphone users," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.

The price, detailed specifications and availability of HTC T9199 in International market is not yet available.
