SC lambasts CBI's inquiry in 2G spectrum scam

New Delhi, Oct 29: Enraged over the delay in the investigation into the multi-crore 2G spectrum scam, the Supreme Court on Friday, Oct 29 slammed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and lambasted the agency as to how much time will it take to complete the task.

"You haven't done anything...it's a slipshod investigation...the same Minister is continuing. Do you follow the same standards for everyone?" asked the court.

"We want to know the Solicitor General's response on what has happened to Dr Subramanyam Swamy's petition to the Prime Minister in 2G Spectrum scam," said Justice Ganguly."

In response to Ganguly CBI said "Will take another six months to complete the investigation."

Meanwhile, the CBI defended Union Telecom Minister A Raja, saying the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) comments were sketch and the CAG is preparing its final report which is to be presented in Parliament.
