Karnataka map
Bangalore, Oct 29: After Karnataka High Court upheld the speaker's decision in disqualifying 11 BJP MLAs for anti-party activities, the disqualified MLAs said they would approach to Supreme Court against the High Court verdict.

“We will challenge the Karnataka High Court order in the Supreme Court after going through the contents of the judgment," said, AS Ponnana, one of the counsel for the petitioners.

Welcoming the High Court judgement, senior counsel for BS Yeddyurappa, Satyapal Jain said, “BJP welcomes the judgement of Karnataka High Court, which is the first judgement on anti-defection law from this honourable court."

“It will discourage defection and encourage collective wisdom of the party in parliamentary democracy," he added.
