Congress promotes corruption in India: Nitish

Patna, Oct 29: After Congress President, Sonia Gandhi critised Nitish Kumar led Bihar government over corruption in the state, Nitish slammed Congress as claiming that the party itself promoted corruption so far and it was proved through CWG row.

"It is the Congress which has promoted corruption all through. It is the mother of corruption," claimed Nitish while attending a meeting with BJP leader, Sushma Swaraj on Oct 28.

He also added, "You (Congress) are talking about corruption in Bihar, what happened to spectrum and CWG scams."

Criticising the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, Nitish stated that Congress raised all corruption issues in Bihar but Singh never had responded to Kumar's invitation for visiting the state to have a knowledge of the real problems in Bihar.
