Bhopal,Oct 29: After writer-activist Arundhati Roy made controversial remark on Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh demanded that the central government should banish Arundhati from India as she betrayed the country.

In a letter to Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram, BJP president of the state, Prabhat Jha claimed, "Arudhati has betrayed the country. The author be banished from the country and she and the people working with her be tried under charges of sedition."

Reminding about all the awards that Arundhati received from the country, Jha also demanded, "Arundhati should be stripped off all the awards and honours bestowed upon her by the government."

Recently, Arundhati stated that Kashmir was never an integral part of India and the country has become a coloniser after 1947.
