Adarsh Housing Scam: Sonia meets Pranab

New Delhi, Oct 29: Congress President, Sonia Gandhi met Pranab Mukherjee and AK Antony to discuss over the Adarsh Housing Cooperative Society scam, in which Maharashtra politicians, top military officials, are involved.

According to the party sources, the meeting was held after Maharashtra Chief Minister, Ashok Chavan's role in Mumbai's Adarsh Housing Cooperative Society was exposed.

Adarsh Housing Society in Colaba (Mumbai), which was originally meant to be a six-storey structure to house Kargil war heroes and widows, got converted into a 31-storey and allotted to bureaucrats, top defence officers, a former environment minister and legislators.

It is also reported that Ashok Chavan's late mother-in-law, Bhagwati Manoharlal Sharma, was also one of the beneficiaries of a flat.
