High security at Parliament ahead of Obama's visit

New Delhi, Oct 27: Ahead of the US President Barack Obama visit to India, the government has put on high security at the historical Central Hall of Parliament, where Obama will address to the MPs for not more than 20 minutes.

Reports said that no visitors would be allowed inside Parliament When Obama addresses MPs on the evening of Nov 8.

Further reports say hectic preparations are on in Parliament and the Central Hall has been closed for renovation. All construction activities will end in a week before Obama's visit.

As per the tentative programme being worked out, the address by Obama would start at 5 pm. Sources said a welcome speech will be given by Vice President Hamid Ansari and a vote of thanks by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar. President Obama will also sign the Golden Book, the visitors' diary of Parliament.
