CWG row: Probe continued; ED grills OC official

New Delhi, Oct 27: Though Commonwealth Games has been over, the investigation still continued regarding several corruption allegations against its organising committee as Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned VK Verma on Oct 27.

VK Verma, the CWG Organising Committee Director General, was grilled by the ED officials regarding the alleged financial irregularities in the Queen"s Baton Relay in London in 2009.

According ED sources, Verma, who would be questioned about all monetary transaction and contract details, carried all relevant papers related to the contract given to a UK firm, A M Films, for QBR.

The ED has registered a case under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) in this regard.
