Bihar: Naxals threaten, demand money from traders

Naxals
Patna, Oct 26: After giving threats to disrupt Bihar assembly election 2010, Naxals now on Oct 25 imposed threatening notices, where they demanded money from the businessmen of the state.

Beside giving threats, Naxals also called to boycott the election. Naxals planted landmine near election polls and six police men were killed during the attack on Oct 22.

However, Bihar succeeded to snub the Maoists and gave 53 percent votes in the second phase of the assembly election on Oct 24.

The Naxals once again called for boycotting the upcoming panchayat elections in Jharkhand and pamphlets demanding money from several people have been posted at public places in several places of Jharkhand.
