UP: Boy thrashed to death for stealing cell phone

Mathura(Uttar Pradesh), Oct 25: A 15-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death in Mathura's Nagla Bhagat village on Saturday, Oct 23 for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.

Sources said the villagers came to know about the incident on Monday, Oct 25 and was rushed to a hospital.

Lokesh, however, was declared dead on arrival."Four people from the village beat him up saying that he stole their phone. He was killed and thrown in front of his house," said a villager, Sunil.

Reports said an FIR has been registered against the culprits who are now absconding.
