London, Oct 25 (ANI): A study has revealed that Britons do not wake-up fully until around 10am every morning.

Despite getting out of bed at an average time of 6.40am, eight in ten admit they do not feel properly awake for hours, with the average adult only feeling 100 per cent alert at 9.55am.

Alarmingly, almost three quarters admitted that there are some days when they don't ever feel completely with it.

"It's one thing to actually get out of bed when your alarm goes off, but that doesn't necessarily mean you feel ready to go," The Telegraph quoted Tina Withington from Philips Wake-Up Light, which carried out the study, as saying.

"When you get woken up suddenly, it can take a while for your body to get going.

"It seems many aren't actually feeling properly awake until long after they have got into work, which isn't what our bosses want to hear.

"It's only going to get worse as well with the dark mornings around the corner as I'm sure many people find it easier to get going on a sunny morning when they've woken up with sunlight, rather than a dark, cold and wet day," Withington added. (ANI)
