WB Assembly speaker Halim admitted to hospital

Kolkata, Oct 24: West Bengal Assembly speaker Hashim Abdul Halim was admitted to a private hospital after he complained chest pain, in Kolkata on Saturday, Oct 23.

According to the hospital sources, Halim is on ventilator support and his condition is critical. Halim is treated by Dr Debashis Ghosh.

Halim was admitted to the Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) and a three-member medical board was constituted to monitor his health, sources said.

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Partha Chatterjee also visited the Speaker.

Earlier, in Feb, Hasim Abdul Halim was admitted to a hospital in Singapore after he suffered respiratory trouble. Halim was on his way to London and was taking a stopover in Singapore.
