Mum: Jet's wing brushes Kingfisher flight

Mumbai, Oct 23: A major mishap was averted at Mumbai airport when a wing of a Jet Airways aircraft brushed against the tail of a Kingfisher flight at the wee hours on Saturday, Oct 23.

Sources said the Jet plane had passengers on board, while the Kingfisher did not. But there have been no reports of injuries so far.

The incident happened when Jet airways flight 9W 540 (Bombay - Muscat) was at bay 85 and the Kingfisher airline aircraft was parked in the adjacent bay 84.

Sources said both aircrafts have been grounded and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) investigating the incident.
