US inquires about Sino-Pak N-deal

Islamabad, Oct 22: After the report that US would not discuss civil nuclear issue with Pakistan, now US special envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke informed that the country asked Pakistan to explain about its nuke deal with China.

"We have asked for more information on the Chinese-Pakistan arrangement to see how they fit in with international regimes," stated Holbrooke on Oct 22.

Recently in a statement, US official sail that US believed that the transfer of new reactors to Pakistan extended beyond the cooperation China had reached with Pakistan before joining the Nuclear Suppliers Group in 2004.
