India tourism to get highest international status?

New Delhi, Oct 22: For gaining the highest international standards, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) decided to expand its Hospitality Sector by setting up of world class infrastructure facilities through out the country.

Speaking at the seminar organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Tourism Minister, Kumari Selja on Oct 22 informed, "new guidelines for classification and project approval for hotels have already been issued by the Ministry."

Selja also added, "the upcoming hotel units will now be inspected within three months of receipt of application and classification orders issued within 15 working days."
