MP: Engineering students rape, burn victim alive

Damoh, Oct 20: A group of engineering students allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl and then burnt her alive at Damoh in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, Oct 20.

Having 90 percent burning injuries, the victim was admitted to a hospital, where she recorded a statement to the local police before her last breath on Oct 20.

According police sources, the victim earlier lodged a complaint against the accused for teasing her but the local police did not pursue the matter seriously then.

Three people have been arrested, but the main accused escaped.

Police now registered a case and have launched a massive hunt for the accused.
