Bangalore, Oct 20: After a division bench failed to deliver a verdict on Oct 18, the Karnataka High Court will hear the petition of 11 disqualified BJP MLAs on Wednesday, Oct 20.

The 11 BJP and 5 Independent MLAs were disqualified by Speaker KG Bopaiah under the provision of the anti-defection law on Oct 10.

Meanwhile, in a fresh blow to the Congress SV Ramachandra, an MLA, resigned from the Assembly yesterday. This triggered a protest by the Congress outside Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's house. And over 50 Congress MLAs were detained on late Tuesday, Oct 19.

The hearing of 5 disqualified Independent legislators is referred to a new bench, which will take the case on Nov 2.
