Former Pakistan President Farooq Leghari dies

Leghari had been a cardiac patient and was hospitalised from many days in CMH Rawalpindi. For burial his body will be taken to his native village.
Leghari was born in Chhoti Zaireen, a village in Dera Ghazi Khan district of Punjab province. He started his career as a civil servant. He was educated from Oxford.
Leghari, was elected as the eighth President of Pakistan 1993 and was in power till Dec 1997. In 1997 he dismissed the PPP government led by Benazir Bhutto.
Leghari formed his own political party Millat, which he later merged it in PML-Q in 2002.
