Parliament's winter session starts from Nov 9

New Delhi, Oct 19: In a notification issued by Lok Sabha Secretariat on Monday, Oct 18 stated that the Parliament's winter session will begin on Nov 9 and may end on Dec 13.

Earlier, the Rajya Sabha secretariat has issued similar notification informing its members that the Parliament sessions will begin on Nov 9, at New Delhi.

On the opening day of the session Speaker Meira Kumar will hold an all-party meeting at New Delhi, to seek cooperation from all the leaders to ensure that the proceedings of the Parliament goes smoothly.

US President Barack Obama who is visiting India in Nov will address a joint session of the Indian Parliament on Nov 8.

Earlier, Former US President Bill Clinton had also addressed the members of both the Houses at a joint sitting during his visit in 2000.
