Pakistan urges US to intervene in Kashmir row

Shah Mahmood Qureshi
Boston, oct 19: Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi urged US to intervene into several disputed issues between India and Pakistan including Kashmir row.

"We urge the US, a friend of both India and Pakistan, to do everything in its power to resolve this conflict," stated Qureshi on Tuesday, Oct 19.

Speaking in a seminar at the Harvard Kennedy School, Qureshi informed, "Pakistan is willing to engage India in a comprehensive dialogue to normalise relations between the two countries by finding amicable solutions."

Emphasising on the better relations between India and Pakistan, Qureshi also added, "We have to realistically understand that improved relations between the two nuclear armed powers of South Asia (Pakistan and India) is the missing key to regional peace."
