Nitin Gadkari
New Delhi, Oct 19: Just hours after raids on BJP leader's residence and office in connection with the corruption that marred Delhi Commonwealth Games, party president Nitin Gadkari sought to yet again shift the blame and the negative light back on Congress.

Asserting that BJP has proof of corruption during the Commonwealth Games, Gadkari said that the cost for the Games kept escalating and it was approved by the prime minister's office.

He also alleged that that several "benami" transactions took place in the name of Delhi Games and the money was transferred to Swiss accounts; before demanding that a joint parliamentary committee should conduct a probe into the CWG corruption.

Earlier in the day, Income Tax department sleuths raided the house and offices of Sudhanshu Mittal, a BJP leader in connection with CWG contracts.
