Markets regains power at closing; Sensex at 20168

The Sensex closed at 20168, up 43 points and the Nifty was at 6075, up 13 points.
HCL Tech, TCS, Suzlon Energy, Dr Reddys Labs were among the top gainers with 3.49 percent, 3.26 percent, 2.43 percent, 1.86 percent up respectively.
ACC, Tata Power, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki were among the top losers with 2.60 percent, 2.44 percent, 1.92 percent, 1.80 percent down respectively.

Nifty falls below 6000; Realty, Cement slip
At 14:02 pm the benchmark Nifty was consistently witnessing selling pressue due to slip in financial, FMCG, realty, metal, capital goods, telecom, cement, select auto and healthcare companies.
However, TCS, NTPC, ONGC, Infosys, BPCL, Dr Reddys Labs, Hero Honda, Sun Pharma and Suzlon Energy were on buyers' radar.
The Sensex was trading at 19962, down 160 points and the Nifty was at 6012, down 50 points.
Heavyweight Reliance Industries played the role of volatility.

Mkts continue to trade in red; banks, FMCG dip
At 11:30 am, the Sensex was at around 20,000 mark and Nifty 6,000 level. The sell-off has been continued for third consecutive day and the FIIs were net sellers tunning of Rs 112. 75 crore.
Eight out of 50 stocks were in green on Nifty - capital goods, private financial, FMCG, telecom, metal and select power were pulling the markets down.
However, Sun Pharma, BPCL, Hero Honda, SBI and Dr Reddys Labs were on buyers' radar.
The Sensex was trading at 19952, down 172 points and the Nifty was at 6008, down 54 points.
In the midcap space, Den Networks, Pipavav Shipyard,and Pidilite Industries gained 1.7-3.7pc while Chambal Fertiliser, Unichem Labs, Rashtriya Chemical, fell 4.4-5.8pc.
In smallcap space, Sahara One, Steel Strips Wheel, Gulf Oil Corp and Spanco went up 5-9pc while Sujana Metal, Uflex, Cosmo Films, India Glycols and Ester Inds lost 5-6pc.

Sensex opens on -ve note; HDFC, Wipro, Infy dip
The benchmark Nifty started the day on a flat note after the first pre-opening session. Equity benchmarks continued their consolidation with a negative bias for third consecutive day.
At 9:24 am, the Sensex was trading at 20011, down 113 points and the Nifty was at 6030, down 31 points.
The CNX Midcap was at 9353, up 6 points; about 400 shares advanced while 382 shares declined on NSE.
The markets were dragged by Among the frontliners, Tata Power, L&T (ahead of numbers), Axis Bank, HDFC (ahead of numbers), ACC, Maruti, M&M, Ambuja Cements, Tata Motors, Wipro and IDFC.
However, BPCL, Power Grid, Hindalco, Sterlite Industries and Reliance Industries were on buyers' radar.
