TN: AIADMK chief to hold rally despite threat call

Madurai, Oct 18: Despite several threat calls, AIADMK Chief J Jayalalithaa will be holding a rally in Madurai on Monday, Oct 18 in the city outskirts along the Ring Road.

The demonstration has been organised to protest against the failure of the ruling party in upholding the State's rights on Mullaiperiyar dam issue.

Sources said senior leaders in the party are apprehensive about the security arrangements made by the police, as she will be given a host of welcome in 30 different places.

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leaders are confident that the rally would bring about a political change in the state.
