BJP activist shot dead in Bihar's Champaran dist

Raxaul, Oct 18: Tension was prevailed in Bihar's east Champaran district, after a BJP activist Sonelal was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen, police said on Monday, Oct 18.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Oct 17, when Sonelal was returning after attending a Dasara function in Raxaul and some unidentified persons fired at him from a very close range.

He was dead on the spot. Police is investigating the matter and after the incident Raxaul police have arrested two persons.
