President, Vice-President, Prime Minister attend Dussehra celebrations in Delhi's Subash Maidan

New Delhi, Oct.17 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi attended Dussehra celebrations at the Subhash Maidan near Red Fort in the national capital on Sunday evening.

Ahead of the burning of effigies of Demon King Ravana, son Meghnath, and brother Kumbhakaran, President Patil, Vice President Ansari, Prime Minister Dr. Singh, and Congress President Sonia Gandhi met persons enacting Lord Rama and Lakshman on the stage.

Dussehra was celebrated with deep fervour and enthusiasm in different parts of Delhi and in other parts of the country on Sunday . (ANI)
