No Operation Lotus to raise BJP power: Yeddyurappa

Mysore, Oct 17: After winning the second trust vote, Karnata Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa on Oct 16 rejected to promote "Operation Lotus" to boost the strength of BJP in the assembly.

Operation Lotus was a mission to improve BJP's strength bt luring the other parties' MLAs in the state assembly.

Yeddyurappa won the second trust votes by 106 votes cast in favour of his government as against 100 by the opposition.

BJP had the support of 105 MLAs and an Independent MLA, while Congress had 73, JD(S) 27 in a House of 206.
