Nitish calls PM for open debate on NDA's role

Patna, Oct 17: During a joint meeting with BJP leader, Arun Jaitley, Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar asked Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh to come for open debate on NDA government's position in Bihar.

Nitish also stated on Oct 17, "I fully respect Manmohan Singh as PM and also leader of the country, though it is a different matter that the former treats another person (Sonia Gandhi) as his leader."

Manmohan Singh on Oct 16 criticised NDA by stating that Bihar government had failed to discharge its responsibilities for utilisation of the assistance worth Rs 1000 crore provided by the Centre since 2004.

Claiming Singh's comment completely baseless, Nitish stated, "There is no substance in it."
