New Skype 5 allows 10-people video calling & FB

New York, Oct 15: Skype, software application that allows users to make voice calls over the Internet, has launched the fifth version of it's application, which allows users to conduct a video conference with 10 people at a time.

The new Skype 5 also allows social networking feature with Facebook integration. This new feature allows the users to call anyone from their friend list who has listed their phone number on the Facebook.

For using this feature Skype 5 users have to sync the client with their Facebook account and copied their Skype status message on their Facebook profile.

The Skype 5 also provides features like file-sharing, SMS and screen sharing. These features are clubbed to home tab for better visibility. The 10-way group video calling has automatic call recovery to help users to immediately reconnect calls that are lost because of Internet connection problems.

The new version Skype 5 will keep a balance between calling capabilities and social capabilities.
