K'taka: Bomb hoax at B'lore Commissioner's office

Bangalore, Oct 15: A bomb hoax triggered panic at Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari's office on Friday, Oct 15, sending security personnel into a tizzy.

"The call was received at police control room of Commissioner's office at around 11 am, and the caller stated that a bomb is planted in the office and might explode," officials said.

Immediately the police swung into action with sniffer dogs and pressed the bomb disposal squad into service. The police evacuated the staff from the premises.

But the officials did not find any explosive material at the office, and then declaring the call as a hoax.
