Google dominates search market shares: comScore

The study conducted by comScore revealed that Google has 66.1 percent search share in Sept 2010, while the rival Yahoo has only 16.7 percent and Microsoft Bing with 11.2 percent.
The data released on Wednesday, Oct 13, showed that Google's Sep search market share in United States has moved up to 66.1 percent from 65.4 percent in Aug. At the same period Yahoo's share went down to 16.7 percent from 17.4 percent in August.
Microsoft's Bing has showed slight growth with 11.1 percent to 11.2 percent during the period.
For the month of Sep, comScore also tallied more than 16.0 billion explicit core searches. Google saw 10.6 billion searches, followed by Yahoo with 2.7 billion and Microsoft with 1.8 billion.
It is expected that Google will continue it's domination in the market with newly launched Google Insight, which shows predictions and suggestions for the search.
