ZTE rolls out 7-inch Android 3G tablet computer

The new ZTE Light is a slim and light weighted tablet PC with a 7-inch LCD display offering 800 x 400 pixel resolution. The Android 2.1 OS ia powered with 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM.
ZTE, a publicly-owned, Chinese corporation that designs and manufactures telecommunications equipment and systems, claimed that ZTE Light is more portable, easy-to-use and internet friendly tablet PC, which provides brand new experience to entertainment and internet access. The 3G ready ZTE Light has 3 megapixel camera and memory card slot for the extension upto 32 GB.
ZTE Light offers GPS navigation, music and video player with Mp4 support, and WiFi. It also supports voice calling on dual band UMTS 2100 MHZ/900 MHZ and internet access on HSUPA network with a download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and an upload speed of up to 5.76 Mbps.
Many of the telecom service providers in India are planning to launch 3G service in the country by the end of 2010. It is expected that ZTE Light tablet PC will hit the Indian market soon. The price and detailed specifications are not yet available.
