Alert passenger finds bomb in Jharkand rly station

Dhanbad(Jharkhand), Oct 13: A mishap was averted when a bomb with a timer device, was found at Kumardugi railway station in Dhanbad district in Jharkhand on Wednesday, Oct 13.

Railway police sources said the explosive was spotted by an alert passenger, waiting for a train on the window sill of a room at the station in the early morning.

Railway Protection Force (RPF), Asansol, Commandant R S P Singh and senior Government Reserve Police officer Yogendra Singh rushed to the spot and put the explosive in a bucket of water.

A bomb disposal team from Ranchi was reaching the spot to defuse it.
