Allahabad, Oct.13 (ANI): Thousands of people participated in a colourful procession in honour of Lord Ram in Allahabad.
Brightly lit tableau depicting various mythological characters were taken out on the busy streets.
"Ram dal (tableau procession) has started from today. This is an old tradition in Prayag (Allahabad). We have come to see this with our children and are enjoying ourselves a lot," said Abhishek Mishra, a spectator.
The procession ends with the Ramlila.
"The best thing about Ram dal in Allahabad is that everyone comes out united. The organising committee puts in a lot of effort to bring out a cultural and religious tableau procession," said Ramnesh Tiwari, organiser of the Ram dal.
"The Ram dal goes through Bagambari, Matyala and Alopibagh region and finally stops on reaching the Ramlila ground," he added. By Virendra Pathak (ANI)
