CPM leader shot dead in WB

Kolkata, Oct 13: Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) leader Tapan Dolui was shot dead by Maoist in West Bengal's Midnapore district, when he was ploughing his agricultural land, police said.

"Tapan Dolui was killed from a point blank range by Maoists on Wednesday, Oct 13. Tapan was ploughing his agricultural land next to his village in Jhargram sub-division," West Midnapore Police Superintendent Manoj Verma said.

Tapan Dolui was a active member of CPM's Belatikri local committee. A police team has rushed to the spot, Verma added.
