China invites Mamata for world railway meet

Kolkata, Oct 13: After the invitation from Cambridge University, Railway Minister, Mamata Banerjee now received another special invitation from China to join the World Railway meet.

According the railway sources, the meeting, which would be held from Dec 7 to Dec 9 in Beijing, is supposed to focus on advanced railway technology.

He also informed that the meet also would discuss on high-speed trains and how to adhere to ecological guidelines and protect the environment while operating a railway network.

Though Mamata rejected the invitation of the Cambridge University to speak on the irrelevance of the west, a close associate of the Railway Minister informed that this time she wanted to attend the meeting.
